Paid and submitted old fees

Hey all,

I can't believe I'm here again.

Anyway, I paid the old processing, sponsorship, and RPR fees to sponsor my spouse and I just submitted my application. Now I see I should have paid the new fees since I submitted after April 30.

Should I be preparing for my application to be returned? Or will IRCC just ask me to top up the RPRF since I technically didn't have to pay it upfront?

In the past they've eventually come back and asked to pay the insufficient amounts. It's possible they've returned some but don't recall that, and of course if it's a recent increase in fees, they're very unlikely to do that.

One note, if it's only the RPRF, it's been a thing for ages that (since they don't ask for RPRF to be paid upfront), they send reminders to pay it at a few stages, even for those who have already paid.

So overall I'd say wait and when you get a reminder, deal with it then.

Alright thanks, makes sense. Yes I paid $1205, so technically that covers the processing, sponsorship and biometric fees, but results in a shortfall of $140 for the RPR fee.
