I 'm just wondering how exactly CIC application processing system works. I noticed that usually RPRF requests are sent in batches, so it is probably some automated process which is trigerred by some event. Also I noticed that no one on this forum got RPRF request after November, 7. On the other hand I saw few people payed RPRF upfront after November, 7 and already got PPR. Is it possible that CIC has some issue with their system (related to the RPRF automated batch processing) which actually holds back processing of our applications. I wonder if I should pay RPRF upfront now.

Nice Observation!

I understand that RPRF fees do not need to be paid in advance, it can be paid even at the time of landing and this means that this should not hold any processing at CIC office.

I believe I have seen people getting PPR and RPRF email at same time (or may be also clubbed email).

If RPRF is not paid upfront, this means another (of very few) communication from CIC to applicant showing that processing is ongoing, which is a sort of some news. I would say one should wait for CIC RPRF request.

Thx
