@ Niki - congrats! Now get ready to wait for awhile

@ Belle - don't worry, I'm confident that your file will end up "In Process" any day now. And who knows, maybe your visa officer will end up working much faster than mine

Hi everyone :) Has anyone got any changes to ECAS? Good or bad news? It's so quiet in Rome Office's forum and the spreadsheet is not updated:( look's like nothing's gonna change in here :(

I really think Rome only has the staff to look at one application at a time. Right now they are looking at CLS's, then mine, then there are a few more Feb applicants and so on.

I don't think Rome has had 2 people in process at the same time so I am not getting my hopes up. Just waiting...

Nothing has changed for me either! No updates to ECAS

No offence Panos - but thank God! I would be so devastated if someone who applied after me had their file finalized before me!

But if you require an interview it's normal for things to take longer. So I shall continue to hope and pray that we are all spared that step.

Menace: any update post-interview? Wishing you the best!

So sad :( they are working so slow with the applications... @canadian_belle 1& @panos - it's been 5 months and you are still waiting "IN PROCESS" update... i haven't seen file transfer in April :o most of the march applicant got ther SA in May :'(

So...the last that took the visa was axxis (a December applicant) ? :'( we are in July now and they haven't processed yet February Applicants :( hope u all see soon "in process" update :)

how much is the longest it has ever taken its not 3 to 5 months?

@orchidea - I messaged axxis a couple if he still would like to update the spreadsheet. If he doesn't reply soon, I can create a new spreadsheet and upload it on the weekend. Or Belle, don't you have one? Would you like to share?

@ Niki - well officially only 80% are done with 13 months. So I guess you have to be prepared to wait 14 or even 15 months in a worse case scenario.

@ everyone - I still think we shouldn't complain! Rome moves a lot faster than some other European VO like Vienna so I'm still glad we have Rome! :)

13-14-15- even if you are an outland applicant?

Yes. The only measure that you can count on is that 80% of cases are resolved within 13 months from the time it gets to Rome.

so it doesnt take 3-5 months since your file has been transfered there? and it doesnt take sooner for outland ,or thats the outland applicants estimation?does the province you are affect the time frame?

It doesn't take 3 months for sure, 5 months is also fast but it can be done sometimes! Rome is only responsible for outland applications. The province has nothing to do with the time frame but I don't really know if Quebec has it's own rules, not sure about it

Most of the applications are done within 6-8 months since they are transferred in Rome...but it depends on the application...i think only specific applications or when they ask for additional documents are processed in 13 months or longer :-X

@cls-it will be great to have again an updated spreadsheet...it gives us hope when we see others timeline ;) what about you? any "decision made" update in your ECAS?

went for interview ,Thank god it all went well.in 1 month time i get my visa,I gave my passport to them so they can mail it to me..
