How come you are going to go there and pick him up? Well at least with some extra trips you can start bringing some of his clothes and personal items back with you. We got some cheap one way flights with Icelandair, so we have 2 free 23 kg checked bags. But no free meals on the plane....

He's never flown in a plane before and his English isn't great so I can just imagine what a difficult time he will have at customs. So I definitely want to be there with him. He actually doesn't have any belongings except clothing so were good to go on the luggage front.

It's just the unknown that is killing me and the cost

I believe that Pearson airport (if that's where he'll be landing) has interpreters for many languages. If he can speak Italian then they should most likely be able to find someone to help him. You should try to contact them to ask, it would definitely save you a lot of money!

So I just checked ecas today and it has been updated to "In Process"

However, I'm trying not to get too excited yet. Some people have had problems logging in with the sponsor's UCI, there has been some maintenance going on, etc.

@ Menace on ecas does it say your file is "in process"? I'm wondering if they still might ask for an interview or not...

@ Belle - I don't want to stress you out more, but if something has happened for me (if this is a real update!) then something should happen for you soon as well!

@ axxis - I just saw that you have landed already! Wow, that was fast! How was landing at Pearson? Did it go smoothly? Are you still going to update the spreadsheet? If you are busy, I don't mind helping out!

BTW - Still nothing about the medical results being received.

OMG I'm freaking out because I can't check eCAS anymore! Maybe they Are updating it for me too! And I could check under my husbands eCAS but now I can't check that one either so I am freaking out!

Congrats! I am PRAYING they will look at mine soon too!

Rats! Managed to log into my spouses eCAS and still only Application Received. Hopefully they look at mine tomorrow seeing as our files were sent on the same day ???

Don't stress, I'm sure something will happen soon! Online it says they only update ecas once a week, so who knows maybe they are already working on your file but just haven't updated ecas yet.

we received SA!! hopefully everything will go fine from now
it took a while cause they needed the police clereance from england as well .

is it normal that after SA i cant log in to see the ecas online?

It will take a few days to log in with eCAS and right now there is a glitch so wait it out!

By the way, on the SA email i received they only said that the application for permanent residence has been forwarded to a visa office abroad for further processing.

it doesnt mention which one, i know its rome since my husband is in Greece.
