When paperwork was received did it come by registered mail? My mother was away and received a registered letter but it was only kept for 10 days and then shipped back. The postal office in Timisoara didn't know where it was from? Is that normal?

I didn't receive any AOR2 either, I think Bucharest doesn't send that to everyone. Well it should be the case for you too to get news very fast. When I got my passport request in email, on ecas I still only had medicals received, only after few days they changed to in process and then fast to decision made. You and Teo should get news soon, I believe! Let us know here Keep it calm! :-*

Thanks deedee33. Any idea if I can email them (VO in Bucharest) to ask for a status ? Or maybe that's not such a good idea?

I don't know what to say, I did not email them so no idea if that is working. They can answer standard with "the time for app is 17 months, please wait" or maybe you can order notes, like CutiePie did?
Not sure what advice to give you.

CIC updated processing times, it's 18 months for VO Bucharest now

My husband got the csq today ant the file was transfered to Bucharest !!!! I hope the processing will be fast ( since i am suposed to give birth in february)! I wish you all luck!!!!

Well hy i'm new here but i read the forum on a daily basis.my situation is exactly like deedee's and thats why im asking her. How didi you send your passport if you were in canada??..i have received an email..but the only 2 options for sending the ppers were through vfs or directly to the embassy...an i have 20 day to do it..i am in canada what can i do??

@Andrei, are you sure you have carefully read the email? I also had only two options, but there was another section in the email with "Are you in Canada now?", just under the table.

If you really don't have that section, please call Ottawa and tell them your situation there. From what I read on the forum, everyone was allowed to send their passports in Canada, I do hope you are not the exception!

I have received this morning the same e-mail as Andrei91 received with the same issue: it doesn't say anything about sending the photos, etc... here in Canada

Deedee can you please tell us (maybe you have it in the email you have received) where should we call to ask if we can send the passport here in Canada like you did? I don't know why they don't know we are in Canada...

There isn't a phone nr on the email I got, basically I got the same email as you guys, except I had the Are you in Canada now section. I do believe it's a mistake in your emails.

I will ask my husband to confirm the phone nr when he comes home, but there is only one number, I'm pretty sure here you should ask for help: Call Centre telephone number: 1-888-242‑2100 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/contacts/index.asp

Call first, Andrei, before buying plane tickets! Tell them the situation and in the worst case if they doesn't let you send the passport to Ottawa, ask if you can send via embassy, like diplomatic mail, I'm sure they have such thing, or if you can send via DHL? Come on there must be a solution, finger crossed!

Is anyone getting processed for the province of Quebec?! I leave in Quebec and I am sponsoring my husband...he got his csq last week and he recived an e-mail from Bucharest requesting to send his original certificat de selection to Montreal to a certain adress. Does this mean he is being processed?! Why does he have to send it to Montreal if he is being processed in Bucharest?! How long do you guys estimate the process will be from now on? Thx so much for the help you guys!!!
