OOO congrats!! i bet you feel amazing! I'm happy for you ;D

Congrats Betina! :D :D

Is your Ecas changed?

No, it still says "In Process". They really don't change it until they issue the visa. In the email i got today it says:
Upon receipt of the above items, your application will be reviewed and a final decision will be made. If the application is approved, a Confirmation of Permanent Residence form will be prepared for each person. Immigrant visa counterfoils will be printed and placed in each passport. Generally, a final decision will be made within 15 working days.

So they still keep you on your toes even when they ask for the passport :D I guess they can't make an official decision until they see the actual passport, just in case.

Ha-ha ;D To see the passport is not fake.

And now

I know what kind of email I want. Thanks.
All the best. And inform us, when you have the visa in your hands. :D

So, on wednesday I've sent my passport to the embassy through VAC (the new Visa Application Centre that they've opened last summer - thought it's safer and quicker that DHL). They gave me a tracking number and wrote down my email address and said that if I check their tracking application I will see when the passport is back at them and I can go and pick it up. That was, as I said, on wednesday.

The email I got from the embassy said it takes 15 working days for them to reach the final decision.

So I prepared myself for the next 2-3 weeks of anxious waiting. And than this happens today: I got an email from VAC saying that "We would like to inform you that your processed passport has been dispatched from the Canada Visa Office, on 07 Feb 2014 to the Canada Visa Application Centre." I was out of town and couldn't go to VAC before 16.00 hours, their closing time.

And now I'm left freaking out for the entire weekend felling 99% that my precious visa and CoPR are waiting for me in a cold and lonely drawer :D

I still have 1% doubt because my status on E-cas has not changed, it still says "in process" and because I didn't expect things to happen so quickly :o ;D ;D ;D

But I hope it's the visa because I think that, if there would've been a problem, the embassy would have sent an email or smth.

Geez, I will literally bite my nails the entire weekend :D

Hi Remonda.

We submitted the following documents:
- Bank statements from random months (2012, 2013) from the 2 accounts my husband has never closed in Canada, with transfers every month, showing that he has kept his financial ties with Canada.
- a letter from the friends that are going to provide us accommodation upon arrival in Canada
- letters from my boss and my husbands boss stating that they know about our plans to leave for Canada as soon as my visa is issued and that there are no contractual terms that prevent us from ending the contracts at any time we wish.
- letter from my parents saying that they fully support us in our plans
- 4 letters from friends and colleagues stating that our plans to move to Canada are common knowledge in our circles
- letter from us explaining that we can't apply for jobs or for rent since we don't know when we're leaving, but we are interested in those subjects - so we also sent about 50 pages from the last 6-7 months of browser history that showed us thoroughly surfing job sites, rental sites, study opportunity sites etc.

Good luck!

Oh many thanks Betina these are very good ideas to use if they request from us additional proofs
Appreciate your answer god will be with you and with us

You're welcome Remonda :)

Looks like my visa officer is catching up with some work this weekend. Yesterday, my status on E-cas was "In process". Today it changed into "Decision made" :D

Very good. It's strange, but many people sad, that their status changed during weekend. I can' remember, when your ecas went in process? Just curious to see the time til DM.

January 13.

Since than, I also had to repeat my x-ray so that they would extend my meds.

I would say they moved rather quickly with everything, once they've got the process rolling :D

Less then a month. :D

I'm 3 months after you, but last week I received AOR from Bucharest.
I hope soon I'll be " in process".

We are waiting for tomorrow to say how shiny is your visa. ;D
