We applied for a study permit September last year (2014) - (school was paid and so on) but got rejected and been told to apply under the family class. Do you think it would be a good idea to apply for a tourist visa ? If so, what are her chances to get one considering she was denied the study permit?

@smack, from what I understand you applied for study, got rejected, then applied for family (it is in process as we speak) and now you want to apply for visitor visa.

no idea if anyone can tell you what the chances are, if you have money to spend more and nerves to make another file for visitor visa, you can try it! i sent the files via courier in 17 and in 26 i got the passport home, so they answer quite fast.

if i were you, yes i would apply for visitor visa too, and i would say that i applied for school but got rejected, now i only want to go and visit because PR takes too much and I miss my partner. they can reject you (hopefully not!), but at least you have tried! please consider that i don't have ties to home other than my self employed firm with good income.. so maybe they are not so mean.

I've got a plane ticket today, we bought it for almost 6 months.. Jul - Jan, I hope they let me stay so much

I had a lot of trouble to include the cat on my ticket but I hope all is good now.

deedee, i can't prepare anything they didn't say a word until now. seriously what the hell are they waiting for? i had to announce at my job as well, that *maybe* i won't leave at the end of june, but later.. 'cause CIC is taking its sweet time doing NOTHING!

i have no idea what to do. not sure i should e-mail them or so .. they didn't say a thing. it starts to worry me. what should i do ?

yeee! i ended up e-mailing them friday! they answered today! PPR e-mail again! 8)

i go take photos today and tomorrow i'll send the passport to them !

maybe the PPR e-mail was lost ???

we got the plane tickets already! we obtained a good price (870 CAD/person) - route Bucharest - Warsaw - Toronto -Montreal

I sent the passport too. they say something weird in the PPR e-mail, they wanted me to pay the courier for return too. at the courier i couldn't do this they said it's an old e-mail and that i have to wasit for an e-mail from CIC (where they say that my PP is ready for pick up) and THEN i can pay the return expenses. i thought it's weird but that guy from DHL assured me many came with the same request and ended up paying just for sending it to the embassy, not for return. this is weird , i ho[pe it all goes well :-\

deedee33 can I ask you how did you manage to get the visitor visa with multiples entries for 1 year? I'm currently in Canada with visitor visa, end of August that my visitor visa expires we are intending with my partner to file for an outland sponsorship visa. I want to extend my visitor visa but we also wanted to go back home for 2 weeks in Sept to visit my family and friends. So I wanted to ask if I could get a visitor visa with multiple entries, but I don't know how to do that.

stephcy, don't know what to say, you already have the visit visa, so you know all the documents. i just applied for multiple entries and they gave me (the cost is the same). i said until the PR is done, I might need to visit twice my husband, that's all.

i am not sure if you apply to extend your current visa they can give you multiple entries or the extension does not include that..

hah, they updated my ecas today to Medical results have been received. ) good, i only made them in nov 2014, it was about time :-D

now for sure they will ask me the CSQ when I am in Canada.. i wish they would ask it while I am still in Ro, but what can I do.

Cutie Pie somehow they will send your passport back, don't worry, they cannot keep it there and also the DHL should know better than us, until recently they officially managed the correspondence with the embassy. I'm very happy for you!

Will you send some stuff to Canada via cargo too? If yes, please provide some details.
