Right of Permanent Residence Fee for kids

Hi,

can anyone help me with this?

I received a mail for Right of Permanent Residence Fee to pay. They did not mention about my kid in the email. Do we have to pay for the kids as well? Is it $490 for them too?

AFAIK the RPRF has to be paid for principal and dependent only, not for dependent children.

Principal applicants (with some exceptions) and spouses and common-law partners coming with them to Canada must pay this fee. Applicants must pay this fee before CIC issues the permanent resident visa or before the applicant becomes a permanent resident in Canada.

These people do not have to pay this fee:

dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
protected persons, including Convention refugees.
