Hi... I just checked today with my bank and my RFPR checks were cashed on Dec 19, 2013. I am just wondering how long do I have to wait before they request PP. My ECAs shows "In Process" with the following history:

1.We received your application for permanent residence on March 10, 2011.

2.We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on April 6, 2011 to (address). Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us. If we have sent the letter to the wrong address, please contact us.

3.Medical results have been received.

4. Your application was reviewed and we started processing on December 5, 2013.

I just want to get a general idea of how long to wait or what happens after they cash your RFPR checks... any input would be really appreciated. Thanks!

i have a quest related landing fee if they ask for visa fee or landing fee with med and we provide it and it cashed is thier still chance for rejection?

coz my med was done on march 12 2013 with landing fee n all n still no pp 1

first of all, sorry for taking me a while to respond as I was traveling for work. When you refer to "landing fee" do you refer to the Right of Permanent Residence Fee? It that is the one, from all the blogs I have been reading it mentions that rejection can happen at any time. Now, if the medicals have been done and your payment for Right of Permanent Residence Fee have been cashed I don't think you will be rejected. I am in the same case, my payments have been cashed and my medicals have been received by the Visa office but no response yet. Hopefully we can get some response within the next weeks. Have you check your ECAS? Does it shows "In Process"? If so, it is good news... papers are in process.

Ihave got my CSQ in January 2011,below are all my information.

1.We received your application for permanent residence on February 6, 2011.

2.We started processing your application on January 24, 2014.

3.Medical results have been received.

Did you have an idea on how much it will take to have the visa .my status had changed lately to in process. please advise.

Regards

It all depends guys when u would receive ur ppr after madical results have been received.it will be sent when the background checks will be done.No one knows exactly how long does background checks take to complete.but most of the people get it within 6 months after they send the medicals. :)

Thank you Zubair44! I thought they would do the background checks first and once done, they will issue instructions for medicals and once received by VO it go a little faster. Now one thing that keeps being consistent on the blog I have been reading is that the PR visa stamped on your passport it usually has an expiration of 1 year from when medicals were done. If that is true, I did my medicals back in September 2013, and if I have to wait 6 more moths for PPR and visa issued we are looking at only 4 months of the expiration of medicals which are only valid for 1 year. I am confident the process will go a little faster since 6 months sounds like a lot of time... but you are right, no body really knows how they operate and each visa is different. Mine is being processed at Trinidad & Tobago.

Yes absolutely,i agree with you mate.i believe once u get the 2nd line added in ur ecas regarding process of application started everything starts on that stage including background checks etc and somewhere during that period if applicant is eligible vo send medical request.in some cases it takes more time to complete bg checks and probably in rare cases medicals expires during bg checks.yes medicals are valid for exact 12 months so visa is issued considering the expiry of the medical.

Hello,

can you plesae clarify what is PPR1 and PPR2,I have noticed that on your profile.

Thanks alot

Visa stamping is a two step process for applicants living inpakistan. In ppr1 the photocopies are sent to processing visa office, once they review the details they issue ppr2.In ppr2 the orignal passport is stamped from canadian high commission in islamabad.U cant send the ppr2(orignal passport)without the instructions of visa office. :)

Dear Mubu

I wish all the best for you
Most of 2012 applicant's , ie with your time lines , with NDVO and LVO are in same situation of Back Ground Checks , where as GCMS says something else!!!!

Stay Blessed

I have additional news. I found a blog from a CIC physician located in BC, Canada where he mentions that you can request a copy of your medical results. I called the office where I did the medicals and they were able to tell me the results (all diseases tests came negative) so it wa a good medical result. The nurse was able to also verify the status of the medicals, she said i was no longer in the query list which means the results were already in in the Visa office i guess? I am sharing these in case someone is wondering about their results or their status.

Hey guys... I have some good news, finally on March 21 I received the request for passports!!! they are also giving me the date that I must enter Canada as an immigrant to be October 1, 2014. I guess since they are giving me the date it is for sure I am getting my residency? I hope so...

I know waiting time is hard, but hang in there and don't lose your faith, it will come!

Hello Guyz,

I've been notified to send police certificate, do medical check & pay RFPR..what will the next step & when?

Cheers,

Hello Tinger,

That is one step before the last before the VO request your passport. In my case I send police certificates, new forms and medical exams. My RFPR checks were cashed on December 19, 2013 and on March 21, 2014 they request to send them the passport. Based on their email, the VO mentioned that it takes about 2-4 weeks to process the passports, so far it has been one week and haven't heard anything and my ECAS status is still showing 'In Process'

You are in the right track... I know waiting kills, but be patient and faithful, it will come!

Good luck!
