Revalidation of visitor status

My parents are here in Canada on Multiple Entry Visitor Visas and their current status expires (6months) on 3 May 2020. They went for one week vacation to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in January 2020 and re-entered Canada on 21 January 2020. Can they stay here for Six months with effect from 21 Jan 2020 (until 20 July 2020 without applying for Visitors Record?

If they didn't receive a stamp or a Visitor Record upon entry in January, 6 months from that date.
