Hello all,
I used to be an international student in Canada. I started studying in Canada in Fall 2015, and my original study permit was valid until June 2020, which was when I was supposed to graduate.
I was enrolled in school until the end of 2018. Since 2019, I've been living and working full-time in another country, where I have a skilled workers permit. I have not finished my degree, but I want to finish it now. Therefore, I need a new study permit.
Do any of you have experience with being a returning student to Canada? Is it possible that my new study permit will be rejected because I've not been enrolled in university, and I did not finish my degree on time?
I am thinking of hiring an immigration lawyer because I am worried that my application will be rejected. What are your thoughts on that? Any recommendations?
