Hello,

My application was returned as incomplete and that the Use of Representative was not complete. I have filled out sections A, B, E completely. What I did not do is write N/A on Application Number (if known) and UCI Number (if known). Is this possibly why it was returned because I can't find any other reason for it to be incomplete. Also, we signed this form digitally, as it allowed us to. (We only signed one form handwritten). I saw in another forum that the representative form requires an actual signature, does anyone know?

The email I received states, "Based on the intake status of the category under which you applied and the date and time of this message, you may still be able to re-submit your application once required information is provided. However, this is subject to change." My question is - the signatures are over 90 days, is it a risk to update IMM5476 and not resign all the forms? My husband doesn't have access to printing/scanning so it has to all be done by mail. (well, he can go to a facility, but it's also a weird paper size and they scan everything really poorly).

The fees have increased since we applied in May - do I leave this as is and they will request further funds or do I have to ask for a refund and pay again the new amount?

Thank you!

ETA: I just notice I used the 05/2025 form when there is a 11/2025 form.

You found out the return reason was because you used 05/2025 form? Do I have to write N/A in 'Application Number (if known)' field?

No, they never told me the reason. When I logged into the portal, it just showed, "This document is incomplete, please review and update the document." right under the uploaded document. I didn't really know what was wrong because I filled out sections A, B and E as required, but I did not put anything in the "if known" fields in section A. So, I went to the guide on the IRCC to try and do a step by step and it didn't even mention the N/A there but it did mention something about using the most current form. So, when I went to look at my original returned application, the form I used was 05/2025 and there was the new one in 11/2025. So, of course, I downloaded the more recent form and then I checked all the other forms just to be sure before resubmitting (and we re-signed everything because it was more than 90 days of the signature). I don't know if the form date was the reason, but I didn't want to risk having it returned for that next time. The thing is, I downloaded the form directly from the portal, so it's annoying that they want you to use a specific form, yet they don't update the portal. In the end, I wrote N/A on every line on the form that didn't apply to me, including the sections that didn't apply because I am just nervous to have it returned again. Of course, I went through the whole application again as well. My suggestion, err on the side of caution and write N/A on the "if known" lines.

It should be filled out and signed (handwritten/wet)) by you and your representative. It's hard to tell what was wrong without actually looking at that form.

I'm the representative. We filled Section A, B and E. What we didn't do is write N/A on the "UCI/Application No." if known lines of Section A. Everything else was complete, so I can only assume that's what they meant by incomplete. I wish they were a little less vague. Anyways, I just went and wrote N/A on every other blank line.

It's an assumption and not likely a real reason. Did you both sign it (handwritten/wet) ?
