It's already on the Liberal agenda so should happen sometime during their 4 year term.

Unfortunately an online petition here will not do anything, as is the case with practically all online petitions.

this might be part of the "major changes" our minister of refugees OOPS i mean minister of immigration promised us this fall. this is just a guess; i don't really have anything to back this up as they've been tight lipped about what the changes involve. a petition won't really do any good, so let's just wait and see.
