Unfortunately I lost my status recently.
Apr 19 I applied for an extension work permit
May 1 my work permit ran out so I was in implied status since.
Until June 8 when I received a Refusal later reason I didn't give the right job offer. I gave a job offer exempt of LMIA from early 2015 and apparently I needed a new one.
So I am now without status or job... my employer provide me a new job offer exempt of LMIA (Mobilite francophone) and paid the fees.
My question is do I try to restore my status (Which could be long) or do I go to a POE to apply a new work permit (which could be risky) ?
According to CIC website : Most foreign workers must apply for a work permit outside of Canada. Foreign nationals may apply for a work permit on arrival at a port of entry (POE) in Canada if they are exempt from the requirement for a temporary resident visa and if their job falls within the International Mobility Program (i.e., they are not required to obtain a Labour Market Impact Assessment [LMIA]) which is my case.
I do need to work, and can loose my job if not working for a long period of time...
I am as well waiting for my PR via BCPNP which should arrive in the next month or so
