Hello,

My girlfriend applied for a restoration of status since after her visitor's visa expired. However, it was rejected. I'm wondering what options she has now? After she leaves Canada, will there be any problems if she returns to visit me? She didn't apply for an extension 30 days before the expiry of her previous visa so I believe she didn't have implied status either. If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

Was she given a leave by date on her rejection notice? Is she a citizen of countries who do not need visa to enter Canada?

Hi job_seeker,

She wasn't given a leave by date on the letter. And she's from a country that doesn't need a visa to enter Canada, her passport was stamped with her entry date at the POE. Thanks!

So she can just exit. Her entry back may or may not be eventful. She may or may not be given a visitor record the next time she comes back. She could get lucky, like being able to come back with no visitor record, just probably not make it too soon.
