response from Ottawa medical service - confused...

Hi there, as suggested by others on this forum, I faxed Ottawa (613-941-9528) regarding medicals completed but supposedly not received by the overseas visa office, which in our case is London. My fax requested Ottawa to forward the medical results to the London office asap as that is the only thing holding back the IO from issuing a PPR (according to him).

Here is the response from Ottawa: "You need to contact the office processing the application - especially if the medical was not as Ottawa assessing office - FYI - they do have the medicals".

I can certainly email London to see if they've received the medicals but it's highly unlikely that they'd respond since my wife just had her interview there last week. However, the medical was done almost two months ago so it should be there. My confusion is in regards to other forum members who received a response from Ottawa saying they have forwarded the results to London while in my case Ottawa apparently never received the medical in the first place.

Contact the doctor's office who did the medical and ensure that they have sent it to the proper RMO. Unfortunately, I have heard of other applicants who's medical results were sent very late to the RMO.

Thanks - I should have mentioned that I already did this and they said the medical has been sent two days after completion.

Ok. You say the response from Ottawa was "FYI - they do have the medicals." Send them another fax asking to provide you with the date the medical results were sent to London. Then contact London and advise them that the RMO in Ottawa has advised you that the medicals were sent to CHC London on X date. Good luck.
