Residency Obligation

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are four family members(me,my wife,son and daughters) are PR since Dec 28,2013. My children and wife now resided in my home country and their PR card validity already been expired. I returned back Canada just one month prior to validity of PR card and entered without reporting. Pls kindly advise:
1. How long i have to wait to sponsor them, or
2. Apply for PRTD as they also PR holder, or
3. for both cases they need to voluntary hand over their PR status??
4. What is a chance to get back PR status in case of sponsored by me.

Kindly express your expert opinion. Tks

Neither me nor my family have fulfilled residency obligation. We are only 3 months in Canada.

In that case a PRTD will be refused if your family tries to apply. Their only option would be to obtain US visas, travel to the US and then manage to re-enter Canada through a land border without being reported.

You can sponsor them for PR again - however you will have to wait until you meet the residency obligation before you can submit the application. So that means you'll need to remain in Canada for around 2 years without leaving before you will be able to sponsor them for PR.
