hi everyone,
Would anyone shed some light on if someone got PR through PNP program say Ontario PNP,for how long a candidate is obliged to stay on Ontario before he or she can move to other province.Has anyone of you moved to different province once PR was granted under PNP program straightaway. Please share your knowledge and experience.

Thanks

Others will correct me or comment further but as long as you do your initial landing in Ontario there is no law that says you are not free to go anywhere in Canada and no law that says you have to stay in Ontario for any specfic period of time. Of course like everyone else an applicant still needs to meet the residency obligations regardless of where they settle spending 2 years out of every 5 years physically in Canada.

Some people recommend staying a few months to be safe, just in case IRCC ever questions if you even made any attempt to try to settle in the province. Having a record of living in the province for a few months and maybe some proof that you applied to a few local jobs can help.

There is also health care. Some provinces allow you to be eligible for heath care immediately. If you use some health care services right away and then leave right after, you may be on the hook for the expenses.

I have no personal experience with this, just things I read. So I can't confirm anything.
