Not sure if this is the correct place to ask but here goes. I'm a Canadian citizen and my SO is an American citizen. We've been trying to determine which route is best to take in having her work and live in Canada. We've looked at a various number of websites and it seems that there really isn't much straight forward information to be found. Is it best to get a Canadian job offer, apply for a work visa and work in Canada while going through the Residence process? She's an accountant/book keeper so would fall under NAFTA as far as i can tell. Appreciate any info people may offer who've gone through this process.
