Hello .
I am Mohamed from Afghanistan. I live in Iran with my mother and two sisters. We also participated in the UNHCR Resettlement Program, but they tell us that your case has not been accepted by the Country. Is there a way that Can we participate in the Canadian Immigration Program? Please help us.

Countries tell UNHCR how many people they are willing to resettle yearly and what profile they are looking for. Unfortunately there are many people in need of resettlement and very few spots. Only a small fraction ever get resettled. Due to change in politics and many asylum seekers arriving by land the amount of resettlements spots is decreasing. Unfortunately there is nothing that you can do to get selected by Canada through UNHCR.
