Hi all Seniors,

I am little bit confused please help to out to resolve this, 29th July sponsorship approval and file transferred to LVO at this time on ecas permanent residency status was "APPLICATION RECEIVED" after a week status changed to "IN PROCESS" . I saw on other threads after file transferred, visa office takes two to three months to update ecas Application received to In process than why they are updating my case so fast is this normal or what? As of now i didn't receive any letter from LVO.

Please help :-\

ECAS is updated by the people processing the apps. Some update on time, some update late and some never update. It really doesn't mean anything.

I hope that when you mention about VO taking 2-3 months for updating ECAS at some threads , you might have noticed that at yet few other threads the VO have not even updated the status to either "In Process" or "Medical Received", rather quite a few cases were gone directly from "Application Received" to "Decision Made". Similarly, some people are sent medical requests prior to "Application in process" while others in the reciprocal way.

So to answer your question, though there is a set pattern about different stage of application at CIC website, the pattern is not always followed. So you don't need to confuse yourself for this only reason.

I hope its a positive sign for you that your file is being dealt on expedite bases.
