required passports to VO

i appreciate if anyone could give answer to below question.

shall i send my all passports ( the old ) to VO , once they ask to ? what if i can't provide the old passport?

hi, CHC clearly ask for all passports,when they send medicals.,and it is better to follow instructions.

thanks a lot,
my situation is complicated a little , in total i have 3 passports, the most recent is a replacement for a damaged one ( which is almost unreadable)
the oldest one is missing ( it is very old and i don't remember where i put it ).

would it be a problem to proceed with my application???????
