As long as you request the "electronic notes" and not the physical file, no, it doesn't create harm. If you order the electronic ones, it's easy and your file is not touched. If you order the physical notes, then they would have to pull your physical file out and that can cause delay.
Good luck,

Is it recommended to have a frequent request of CAIPS after few months of the 2nd AOR, to know what is exactly going on, as E-cas will only show, "in progress"?

I'm not sure.... it also depends on your file. If there is a lot of background check necessary, it will take time and you might not see anything on the notes either... Requesting your notes might not tell you much in that case. I think you should order the notes only if you can see that similar cases to yours have been processed and nothing is happening to your file, to see what is going on. So maybe once after 3 months of the first AOR, and if you don't get anything 6 months later, then maybe ask again - Nairobi has a long waiting time, but I guess the processing time also depends very much on your own case, as for any other VO - so you might be done quicker than expected.
