Request to Send Passport to Visa Office

Hello,

I just received an email this morning for my wife Permanent Residence requesting my wife's original passport to be sent to Jordan along with two photo's for final processing, my question is, she is in Canada already and we have her passport is there a reason to send the passport to Jordan or is there something else I should be doing.

Also when sending the passport, is it as simple as bringing it to the courier and asking them to send the passport to the Jordan (I will provide the address of course) please let me know if you have any info.

She could write to CIC confirming her presence in Canada and hopefully they would change the VO accordingly.
