Request for Temporary Visit Visa (Tourism), while being in the pool for Express Entry

In the end of 2021, I was in the pool for Express Entry for the immigration process, but as there was no draws conducted at the time, I have requested for a Temporary Visit Visa as I wanted to visit a friend.

I got a refusal for the touristic visa request and the reason was "We are not convinced you are going back to your home country". I assumed that the reason was because I had an on going immigration request.

Now, I am in the same situation, I have a request for Temporary Visit Visa that is on going, and I want to make a new request for the Express Entry. But I am hesitating whether I have to first wait for the touristic visa response (Processing Time is unclear and not fixed), or if I should just create my Express Entry profile.

It is two separate processes and application. Your refusal was not due to having an EE profile. If you had ordered GCMS notes, you would know. Usually the reason is too long of visit, not being from country of citizenship, not showing ties to return etc.
