I am an Indian citizen who is in Canada on a post grad work permit valid till June 2010. I am getting married to a Canadian citizen in April. Due to the recession I am yet to find employment. Assuming I dont what I want to know is :
1) Is there a way to renew my work permit without having a job ?
2) If not then after I get married in April can i stay on in Canada after the expiration of my work permit in June?
3) If i cant stay in Canada then is there a way to change status so i can stay on, eg. visitor visa etc ?
4) I understand from reading some posts that it is better to apply for family sponsorship as outland as it gets processed faster. I intend to go to India after my wedding so that we can have a reception there. Will that negatively affect the PR in any way ?
