Replying to IRCC Portal email for update?

Has anyone had success replying/sending an email to the IRCC Portal email for an update?


We got the initial email for the information for my wife and I to send an email and then for my son in Thailand to submit his passport

We sent the email to the IRCC Portal email with our info and then submitted my son's passport in Bangkok.


A week after the IRCC Portal asked for the same info for my son that they asked for my wife and I(which is confusing since they sent separate instructions for him to submit passport)


I replied with the info and the fact we had been requested and did submit his passport.



That was Dec 1st and have not had any other response back.


So has anyone had success emailing that email back and asking for an update?

Hi there, I received the first portal at the same date as yours. And I didn’t hear back from them either. I’ve heard there’s a delay over portal 1 to portal 2 from VO Montreal. Hope this info helps
