Is it just your wife moving? Why is she not looking for her own room? Sept1st and May 1st are the busiest moving days in Montreal. Getting a room now will definitely be tough. Not sure what websites are used in Montreal for finding shared accommodations or rented rooms but would try posting on those. As a woman she has a better chance renting a room in a family home. She may want to advertise that she is willing to help with yard work. shovelling, light cleaning, errands, cooking, etc. in exchange for reduced rent or reasonable rent. Many older singles are in a larger home and maybe looking for some help and a may but a bit lonely. Given the influx of refugees the vacancy rate has really decreased.
