I have just completed 730+days and I would like to apply to renew my permanent resident card, which has already expired.
I need to travel at the end of November and I wonder if I could apply with the urgent procedure or if I should go with the normal procedure?
In addition, I would like to sponsor my husband who is currently living abroad.
Do I have to wait to wait until I receive my new card to sponsor him or could I start the process once I submit my application?
Thank you.

If your residency days are 730 or only a bit higher - stick with regular processing. If you request urgent processing your application will most likely be routed for additional review and it will take even longer than if you had simly used the regular process.

You can sponsor your husband provided you meet the residency requirement. Note that you must be livin gin Canada when the application is submitted and must continue living in Canada while the application is being processed. Occasional short trips (i.e. 2-3 weeks) outside of Canada are fine. Anything longer and you risk having the PR application refused for non-residency.
