I submitted my application on 10th March 2020 and got my work permit approved in the month of December. However, due to COVID the date of joining is postponed to July 2021. I got an email from IRCC mentioning that I need a new medical examination and I cannot travel to Canada. I have booked my appointment for tomorrow. I would like to know how much time will it take for IRCC to process the report. Also, is there a need to submit my passport again? The date of expiry of WP is in the year 2023.

No, there is no need to submit your passport again. To travel to Canada, your medical should be updated and valid. As far as time is concerned, there is no certain timeline available due to covid situation but it should be processed within 2-3 weeks in my view.

Thanks. I retook my medical tests today. However I do not see any option in gckey account to upload the emedical form from the hospital. What Is the next step I should take. The email from ircc didn’t give any specific instructions apart from asking me to take the medical tests..
