Renewal of expired PR card

Hi. I came to Canada in 2007 and became a PR of Canada. Although left the country after 5 months (in feb 2008) and my PR card was valid till 2012 only. I am now back in Canada since 2016 as an international student. Am I eligible to renew my PR card?

No - you're not eligible unfortunately. You are no longer a permanent resident.

A study permit never have been approved if you were still classified as a PR. Since the study permit was approved, this means your PR status is officially gone.

You'll need to apply for PR from scratch.
