Hi Community!

I have a friend that her ex-roommate is experiencing some issues, here is the story:

She is from Brazil and she was living in Canada with a study permit. She drop off school because of the pandemic and she was not able to pay school. She applied for EI while the pandemic lockdown was stablished. After the pandemic, she start to work full time while she was on her study permit and she was not attending school, after that, she decided to apply for an open work permit, they refused the work permit bc the lawyer added proof of funds when I was categorized as a destitute student and after, she applied for a study permit and denied the application and they order her to leave Canada.

She went back to Brazil as the lawyer suggestion, and she would like to come back, because her employer want to offer an LMIA. The questions here are:

Does she can come back without any issues? Is there any risks? What you would recommend?

Thank you so much!

Regards

She doesn't need an ARC. However she may face issues returning to Canada due to working illegally here. All she can do is apply and see what happens.
