Hey so I am a UK citizen and my Canadian working holiday visa expires in 3 months. I am NOT applying for PR and not extending my visa.
My job in Canada (canadian company with no offices outside the country) are offering me remote work (if its legal and possible which is why I and they are researching) to continue working for them on a part time basis when I leave the country at the end of my visa.

They have known since my day of hire I was on a work visa but have since said it would be a shame to lose me so we are looking at options to see if there are any avenues to still work with them.

I am just trying to find out if legally I am allowed to work for a canadian company whilst out of the country and no longer on a canadian work permit.
If not, are there any loopholes or options such as working as a freelance/contractor and invoice them instead of be on payroll etc where I may still work for them?
Thanks in advance

Others can comment as well but personally cannot see why working remotely outside Canada for a Canadian company can be any issue given you would be working offshore and the Canadian company is simply buying your services.

I am no expert here but the latter might be key that rather than being on the payroll directly the company purchases your services thus giving some flexibility as an offshore supplier as opposed to an employee if you ever needed to travel back to Canada say for a client/ supplier business meeting.

Probably need to get professional advice both in Canada and also in the UK about contracting as well as tax implications.
