Hi, I started my job in July 2019 in Canada, I traveled to home country in March for my marriage and working remotely outside Canada for 5 months for same Canadian employer. Does the 5 months experience from outside Canada count towards the 1 year eligibility under Canadian Experience Class? Thank you

No it doesn't, you have to be working with legal status and physically in Canada, it doesn't matter if your employer is canadian.

I still have a valid post-grad work permit. Have you seen anyone in similar situations and what was the outcome. Thank you.

The experience needs to be IN Canada (minimum requirements in the link below), and not only for a Canadian employer.

Even if you didn’t change officially your place of resisence for that period, it will show up in your travel history that you were not physically in Canada.

Actually in my case it counted. I was in home country for 6 months from 03/2020 to 09/2020 and worked for the same employer. I have applied for PR after returning to Canada in Nov and luckily my experience got counted as per GCMS and received PR cards for me and my spouse on Sept 15, 2021. You should have a proper explanation reg your situation and attach any proofs that you have to support your situation

Hi,
My spouse is working in Canada on work permit, he will travel to US on weekends (On H4 visa ) . Will these effect the CEC one year time line for PR ?
