I'm a family sponsorship case. (spousal).
We just received our re medical request asking for the usual - chest x ray, assessment form, completed medical report chest xray requisition and report form. I'd like to clarify a couple of things.

Q1 - We just take the assessment form and the email to the physician right? No need to fill any of the forms?
Q2 - In the email, it says 'we require the following additional medical examination(s) for self and spouse' and then it lists the items mentioned above. Is this just a generic email? because sponsors do not have to get medicals done right?

If anyone knows the answers, please let me know. Thank you.

1. Correct, once you finish the medical exam, the CIC panel physician will give you a emedical receipt which they will forward to CIC, I would also scan and email the same receipt to VO just to be safe.
2. Sponsor is either a Canadian Citizen or P.R there is no need for the sponsor to complete a medical as they are already a resident of Canada, the medical is strictly for the applicant who is requesting to come to Canada as a permanent residence.
