EOR Success Story:
Exam Date: 22nd June, 2019
Score: L/R/W/S 9/9/6.5/8
Eor applied: 1st July, 2019
Acknowledgment : 2nd July , 2019
Eor result: 5th August, 2019
Result: Writing increased from 6.5 to 7
British Council, South Africa

Guys.. just one advise. Even if you are not 100% sure about what you wrote, just apply for an eor still. You never know when it’s you day :)
Congratulations!!! I believe that I should get 7 for my writing, so applied for EOR. Hope the 0.5 writing marks increases for me as well. Good luck with your future endeavors.

Hello Dears!

I have a similar story as I took IELTS GT thrice and every time got less than 7 in either speaking & writing as presented below:

Attempt 1st 2nd 3rd

Date May-17 Feb-18 Jul-19

Listening 8.5 7.5 8.5

Reading 7.5 8.0 7.5

Speaking 6.5 7.0 6.5

Writing 7.0 6.0 6.5

For Jul 2019, I was a lot more prepared as I focused on officially published scoring criteria – Lexical Resource/Grammar/Coherence/Fluency (S) and Task Accomplishment (W). However, still got S&W 6.5 this time, specially speaking score disappointed me so much. Now I’m bit confused between RETAKE or REMARK. I’m quite sure that EOR may elevate speaking score but little doubtful about writing as I can’t recall any complex structure I used in Task.2. What encourages Remark is my 1st attempt when I scored 7 without much preparation.

Appreciate if any expert of test taker enlighten me about his/her experience so I can finalize a decision. Thank you!

Guys one thing is for sure, more time it takes for results to come more chances are there to increase in score. I applied EOR three times before every time I got results on 14 th day with no changes. This time, however, it is today 26th day and I have not heard from them. It is really raising my hopes for score change. I need clb10, as of now my IELTS score is 8.5 9 6.5 7.5. I want my writing to change from 6.5 to 7.5. I am really confident. Lets hope I applied for both writing and speaking. Applied speaking cuz in case my God forbid my writing does not change, at least I can get my money back.

Hi everyone, my EOR story:

Exam Date: 3rd July, 2019
Score: L/R/W/S 8.5/8/6.5/8
Eor applied: 10th July, 2019
Acknowledgment : 11st July , 2019
Eor result: 7th August, 2019
Result: Writing and Speaking scores have remained unchanged
British Council, Kazakhstan

So guys, I suppose long waiting/processing time does not guarantee increased score

After 22 days of receiving an acknowledgement, I got a mail from BC stating my score remains unchanged in speaking at 6.5. My LRW scores are 9,9 and 7 respectively. It was my first and last attempt in ielts. Will try celpip next time or go for pnp route.

Bad luck with the results. I think it's ok as it was only the first time you attempted IELTS. I would suggest that you go for another time as well. Do not give up so easily. CELPIP is known to be much harder than IELTS.
