I thought it might be helpful for everyone who has been rejected to post the reasons here. That way everything is in one easy to access spot. Might help other people get their applications right the first time!

Who wants to start?

1) Make sure you calculate your 1 year work experience criteria from the date your degree was conferred and not from the date your post graduate work permit was issued to you

REJECTION REASONS:
1. Make sure all forms are updated if not, they're gonna return your application.
2. NOC should match with your working permit.
3. Employment letter should be thorough and matches the job description/responsibilities with you NOC.

- Most common, not filling out forms correctly - make sure everything is filled out correctly.
- Wrong NOC code, especially when a NOC code better suited to your job is below the skill level requirements
- Insufficient ILETS score for your NOC code
- Forgetting to submit any required documentation
- Failing to declare common law/marriages on your forms, regardless of whether they are dependents or not
- Not meeting the experience requirements - i.e. dates on your reference letters are before the 1 or 2 year period.

These are all very helpful.

What about the date of birth certificates? Are some people putting the wrong DOB?

I have a question. I put the NOC that closely resembles my work (Code Type B). After I applied, NOC-cnp replied to me with a different code but it was Type A. Both codes are eligible for CEC.

Do you guys think that might be a problem ?

Currently, Skill Level A positions require a higher IELTS score than Level B. As long as your IELTS score meets the requirements of skill level A, it will probably not be a problem. If it does not, then it potentially is a problem.

I do have reasons for application being returned without generating AOR. Anyone know how to paste or attach files here so that I can add it?

Hi There,

Can you please tell me what language level should be for skill A worker. I took the CELPIP. Got three 4L and one 5.(Listening) Is this efficient?

My job title is Financial Analyst but my duties matches an accountant NOC1111. So I just use the NOC1111. What do you think?

Hello members,

I called Immigration Attorny as I wanted to apply for CIC with NOC Aerospace engineers and IELTS band 8. I have more that 2.5 yrs in this position but gained the experience in Quebec.

The reply I got from the Attorny is that CIC is simply sending the applications back if the sender is a resident of Quebec at the time of filing. I have filed for CSQ but the process is too subjective and unreliable even though I have 76 points againts the required 63.

Let me know if any one applied for CIC with experience gained in Quebec?

Thanks
Anand

That is not true. I have read cases here where applicant successfully convinced the VO that he/she wlll be leaving Quebec after becoming a PR. Reasons varied from jobs, property purchases etc.
