iAgree said:what do you mean rejection after citizenship ? then what happens?

I received a passport request from Cairo visa office. And 3 weeks after submitting my passport, I received a call from them and the representative told me that there is additional background check to be done because I stayed in the US for longer than 6 months. They asked me whether I want my passport back or I want to keep it with them until the processing is done. They said that the processing will take up to 3 months. I told them to keep the passport.
I should note that Cairo visa office is messed up. It is known to be slow and they do a lot of mistakes. Probably the PPR was sent to me by mistake before the background check was complete. I think that this cannot happen in other visa offices.
