reject study visa

hi everybody. i just want to know it is possible that officer reject my study visa request due to attending in express entry program.
i hope not but one of my friends said they'll check and when they find you have an open fie in express entry program would reject you because it shows that you are not determined for coming back.

Your friend is absolutely right. If you have applied or if you apply for a SP it would seem like a case of dual intent and result in sure shot rejection.

No, having a Express entry profile is not valid reason for rejection so you are fine. If you have actually been invited to apply for PR then you need to disclose that in your application as required.

Why would someone who has been invited for PR go down the SP route at this stage where as a permanent resident you can apply and get approval for your study and pay domestic student fee . The OP IMO is looking for various options to enter Canada and based on this conclusion his SP application would be a red flag.

You can be invited but be unsuccessful still in your actual PR application that you need to disclose in you SP application.

Simply being in the express entry pool does not negatively affect an SP application.
