Pocoyo,
Thanks for your reply. I'll start my application today even without the PR card, and I'll do the same you did. Please do update if CNO replied to your inquiry. Have a good day.

hi baby gurl! :D hope your queries will be answered coz we do have the same concerns. i'm planning to send the assessment package to CNO by 2011, but my IELTS was done august 2009. will they still consider my IELTS? it's the academic category and got an over-all score of 7 (8-listening,8-reading,7-writing and 7.5-speaking)

this is the response i got from CNO regarding my IELTS inquiry:

Thank you for your e-mail,

That is correct, the Verification of Registration and Verification of Employment forms are not included in the initial assessment package, these forms will be mailed to you at a later time.

The CNO accepts both Academic and General categories for IELTS, accepted scores are: 6.5 over all (Writing, Reading, Listening) and 7.0 in Spoken. The CNO does not have an expiry date for fluency tests. Fluency is not a requirement to take the national exam but it will be required to obtain your nursing license in Ontario. If you have already completed the fluency test and would like it evaluated by the CNO please request the testing centre to mail your results directly to the CNO.

If you have any further questions, please contact us either by e-mail at cno@cnomail.org, by phone at (416)928-0900, 1-800-387-5526 (toll-free in Ontario) or visit our office at 101 Davenport Road, Toronto, Ontario M5R 3P1.

guys i need your help.im a graduate of bachelor of science in nursing and i have a 3 years work experience and i have my ielts exam last december 2009..what do you think will i apply for assesment is it RN already or RPN first?

Hello, everyone.

Don't be worried about IELTS if you haven't taken it yet. There are colleges in Ontario that offer courses for free (bursary) if you're qualified. If pass all the required courses you will be exempted from the language requirement.

Your registration with CNO is completed only when you are landed here and wrote the RN exam.

better be hurry guys

CNO might change their IELTS requirements, like Manitoba did recently,

with regards to the course descriptions, will CNO need only the course description of the course subjects of you main profession or including the subjects of other courses taken which were
not completed?

and would CNO require the course descriptions sent directly from the school or can I send it myself since the school just handed it to me after my request?

thank you
