Hello Canada,
I plan to move to Canada using Intercompnay transfer Visa, from US. I have lived here in US for almost 3 years, and have a car that i would like to bring to Canada, and register it without selling it. The car is Honda accord 2005. The problem i have is that i wont have my visa before i move in (the best i can do is enter the country on tourist visa), i have to go back to my country of residence, and then get a proper paperwork and visa.
Is it possible to register the car without all that? If not, is it possible to register it on my friend and then return later and do all the paperwork (register on myself)?
What documents do i have to present to immigration (except the obvious own cert, register, insurance, driving license) to get in, and what are the requirements for registering?
I'd appreciate any help, maybe some FAQ or forum links that would help me in my case.
I can always sell the car, whichever is less work for both of us.
