i have received passport request on 3rd July for family class sponsorship. But i didn't get medical request from CHC, New delhi.. I have sent my passport on 9th July..
On e-cas, the status is still "application received".

So is there any reason to worry???

Please reply..

This is a good news you don't have to worry! :)

I got interview request, requesting of course all my original papers, new criminal records but nothing like new set of medicals...even my medicals had expired on 23 June.

I guess yes, I was as well suprised to see that they didn't ask me a new set of medicals, aparently there is a new rule about that.
But I dont't how how it will be applied in my case or yours.

From my understanding New Delhi request passports at the beginning of the process, they process fast there think the average is 7 months.... if you have not done a medical yet I'm sure they will request one before issuing a visa. GL!

This only applies if you have already had medicals done.

I'm not really sure if he has or hasn't, but ND has fast times so if he has had them done the chances of them still being valid are good....

ok.. but as per the rule of immigration, medical is necessary.. So is it possible that CHC may send a medical request after passport request???

no one can say how long it will take there average @ that VO is 7 months could be faster could take longer... it's just a waiting game... but you will get a request to do the medical...

ya.. but i didnt get any update on e-cas. it shows application received only.. Let me tell you last update was on 12th june..

Is there any problem in that??

At times its very hard to say...

How about calling or email to your VO, you will sure get an answer from them.

There is no reason to be. As said, New Delhi requests the passport as part of normal processing, NOT to issue a visa, so your file is being processed as per normal procedure. When they are ready to issue your visa, you will be asked to do a medical exam if you have not done it yet, as your visa cannot be issued without a valid medical.
