Regarding National ID document

Hello All,

Can anyone kindly advise me if Aadhar is being accepted as NID document in express entry process? As mentioned in the CIC portal about the information required to have on NID, it has all of them except expiry date as it doesn't expire. In India it is the NID and being accepted everywhere as it is issued by govt of India. Not sure if the same is globally accepted. Any suggestion would be helpful.

India doesn't really have a mandatory national ID (No, Aadhar isn't officially mandatory). Your passport should be sufficient. I never had an Aadhar card and had only submitted my passport. My application was recently approved.
