Regarding Letter of Explanation and fund proof.

Hi,
I have got my ITA and I need to submit the Canada PR application. I want to know what all I can put in the letter of explanation. I have some friends in Canada and I would like work there, immigrate and settle there. Other than these, can I also mention the following.
1. I am divorced but I do not have my divorce certificate as of now, I shall receive it within this month.
2. My skill set, qualification etc.

Is there anything else I need to add?

The other question that I have - If we show proof of funds for more than the minimum requirement, will the profile be given more weightage? Just wanted to know.

In LOE you explain things that are not cleare. Your lack of divorce certificate is a good example. You do not explain why you want to move to Canada or what are your qualifications.
How much you show for your proof of funds doesn't matter as long as it meets the minimum requirements, it won't be given more weightage if you show more.
