Refusal of work permit leads to refusal of PR?

Hello,

I'm really stressed now. I am nominated in June 2013 and I'm applying for work permit outside Canada. I also enclosed the letter of support for work permit but I got refusal of visa because VO assessed me lack of experiences for job.

What should I do now and should I apply PR no matter whether visa granted or not?

Hello dear.....

Dont worry with rejection.....
You should apply your PR now and after 1 or 2 months when you get ur file number...then u r eligible under briding open work permit.
You will easily get it....Be Happie

Yes you are right....you have to be in canada.....

It is quite sad to see your visa was denied. Did you have a support letter from your PNP office ? I would suggest you ask your PNP office to issue you a letter to make an exploratory trip to Canada as a visitor. If they do issue you a visitor visa then you can always apply for a Work Permit at the airport itself by showing them your Nomination certificate. Nothing is ever guaranteed with Canada Immigration these days especially getting work permits or visitors visas ever after nomination. my wife's visa was denied two times, once as a visitor, once as a worker because the visa officer believed that she will stay in Canada with me, although she was issued a letter of support from my PNP office which usually means that VO should take a positive decision on that case. Nothing worked out and so now we're waiting for our PR's so we can reunite.
As far as your PR application is concerned, don't worry about it as long as you have the nomination, no criminal offense and no serious medical issues.
