Hello I born in Brazil but in US for more than 10 years.
You all know about the situation here with the new Crazy President.
I see people are crossing the border so they ask for Asylum inside Canada.
So how it works for Brazilian people. I never apply for Refugee or Asylum before.
Thanks.

To successfully apply for asylum in Canada, you would have to prove that you cannot return to Brazil because you fear persecution / your life in in danger. To prove this, you'll have to provide hard evidence to show that you yourself are targeted (e.g. police reports you've filed, hospitalization reports, etc.). Given that it sounds like you've been outside of Brazil for more than a decade, I think it's likely going to be very difficult for you to prove this.

What is happening in the US is not grounds for a refugee claim in Canada.

Particularly if you went to the US as an immigrant/green card holder. There is nothing stopping you from going back to Brazil in that case.

Just to clarified I have degree in Economics and Im coach/referee soccer in US for now.
I moved to US as work visa and then I stayed for 10 years now. Im out of status.
The Brazil violence is absurd and scared. I can not live there anymore. The economy is very bad.
Government Corruption is absurd. Any others options after Im in Canada? any other status I can look for?
The life in US is very difficult now fear is spreading, the Economy will suffer without immigrants.

Based on what you've written, the refugee / asylum stream definitely is not an option. Brazil being dangerous is not the basis of an asylum claim. To be successful, you would need to prove that you yourself are specifically targeted or have been targeted by violence and/or persecution. Making a refugee claim based on Brazil being a dangerous place will result in refusal.

You should be looking at the economic immigration streams (like Express Entry). To qualify, you'll need to have at least one year of skilled work (and legal) work experience in the past 10 years. There are also other requirements. And qualifying doesn't mean you'll be selected. Whether you're selected will depend on how many points you have vs. other candidates in the pool. You can find detailed info about Canada's economic immigration programs here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/apply.asp

Good luck.
