Hi everyone! This was my second time obtaining a Canadian Refugee Travel document. I know this process can be stressful, so I thought creating this thread to share timelines might be helpful.
When applying first time in 2022, it took IRCC 10 months to process my application. Make sure to read instructions and triple check the form you filled out. Remember, it’s better to send more documents than you’re required to rather than submitting an incomplete application and getting your application delayed for months!
My RTD timeline 2026:
Application sent by courier (Purolator) - October 8,
Application delivered - October 13,
Application processed - October 23,
Refugee Travel Document received - October 29.
