I have a private sponsorship application
My application was received and processed
I got an email asking for biometric and medical exam
A representative called from IOM asking for background check form to be sent to them
After a while they called again asking for a passport size photos and haven’t heard back since then
Is there a chance they will issue a visa without an interview? And usually what is the process for issuing a visa? Do they request the passport?
My sponsor haven’t received any communication

hi there it seems like your application doesn't need an interview, because usually medical is done after interview. btw can you share your timeline ? how long has it been ? I am also going Private sponsorship

Sorry I can’t remember the exact dates because I can’t access the online application status checking tool but it has been about a year since I got my G-number and about 6 months before that since I started the application process.
The longest wait time was until I got a spot with SAH, 5 years! But after that things are going relatively normal

I can understand getting a spot for SAH is almost impossible especially with its high demands, but i guess we are lucky anyway your process seems like it is going faster than most people, 1 years for approval and processing started after 6 months witch is in total 18 months and hopefully you Maye get your visa very soon. I have got approval in 1 months and biometric soon after approval and its been around 6 months after it

you can also check the status of your biometric on check biometrics ircc website

Find out if your biometrics are still valid​

if you don't find any details about your biometric it probably means decision has been made

Interviews mostly happen but in some cases it is not needed,

I really hope so, i hope i can get the interview at the end of the year. BTW I applied from Indonesia
