Here is my timeline:
Mid April In-Land Application
May 8th: Biometrics, Passport Seized, RPID, Work Permit, Referred to RPD
May 20th: File-Review Processing Request Submitted
May 22nd: Second Work Permit Approved (I honestly don't know why)
October 6th: I called in to check in about the FRP request.
October 9th: Letter from RPD replying to the FRP request saying that my claim was "Streamed for completion under the Instructions Governing the Streaming of Less Complex Claims but was awaiting FESS for scheduling."
March 6th 2026: Background check completed in the IRCC portal.
Apparently IRB still hasn't received the background check confirmation (Front-End Security Screening Confirmation)
In a recent call they told me to call back by May if there hasn't been any progress and letters from the IRB.

Even if you have been triaged as being less complex case(that can still change after case is reviewed) there is still a significant backlog of these cases so it can take quite a while to process. If processed as less complex you will be processed faster than regular cases but that no longer means fast these days but just faster than the 2-3+ years it will take for other asylum applicants to get a hearing if they applied in 2025. The asylum system is extremely overwhelmed and has huge backlogs.

Thank you, and congratulations! Amongst all of the depressing posts, it's nice to see posts like this.
