Hi

Let me explain the situation first. MY brother entered the canadian border and has requested asylum in canada because he has some life threat issues back in india. He has been given refugee status by canada immigration but need to apply for canadian asylum within the next 28 days. He entered canada from vancouver border and as I am in vancouver we have assured the immigration officer that we will take care of him while his stay in canada. I have heard from the general public that the approval rate for asylum cases once applied is highest in Montreal. We are not sure if he should file a case from montreal or stick to BC only. Any information on this will be great.

Thanks

As he is living in BC, the hearing will be in BC.

Mr. psingh,

Folks who face "life threatening" situation back in India are first to go visit family in India upon receiving their PR. I hope your brother is not faking it just to get into Canada.

Regards.
